Early medieval Manor house, partly restored with restaurant, views, land and original features
This large manor house is listed in many histories of the Lucca in the early medieval times, probably due to its commanding position in the Brancoli hills just north of the city. The property has at various times been a family estate as well as a government building.
Today, the property has a renowned restaurant with outside terraces and wonderful views in the lower part with a large apartment abovw used infrequently by the owners. There is also accommodation for the restaurant staff. The restaurant is rented to the current operators with a short amount of time remaining on the lease.
Above the owners apartment is another 2 floors which was the original reception and living reas of the Manor House. This area has, very fortunately, had a recent new roof. Fortunate becasue this is a large house and the roof was expensive. But, otherwise, this area is unrestored and retains many fabulous original medieval features. Access to this part is best from the other side of the building where there is a private garden area and other outbuildings.
This property would make a fabulous grand family home or a hotel / restaurant / tourist facility.
