Casa Magistretti Country Houses - Restored in Garfagnana

This is a lovely little restored village home in good condition.  It is currently rented out and so can be lived in immediately.  It has two entrances, one into the sitting room with a fireplace and one into the kitchen which has a wood burning stove in the kitchen.  There is even gas in the village which means that there is also a regular boiler for central heating and hot water.

There is one bedroom on the first floor and then two smaller bedrooms on the top floor with fantastic views to the Val di Serchio and across to the Appenines.  The Appenines are particularly striking in the winter when the sky is blue and the snow on the higher mountains is so white.

Next to the kitchen on the ground floor is a large cellar for storage of bikes, skis etc.  

The house is found in a Medieval village which has a shop, bar and a restaurant that regularly hosts events in the village.

Usually on the first weekend in February the sunset is timed correctly that one can see the sun set through the hole of the 'Monte Forato', this is a site worth seeing.
