Charming restored cottage in picturesque hilltop town
This charming cottage is located in a characteristic hilltop town, really no larger than a large village. The town is completely surronded by medieval walls and there are great views over the surrounding valleys and hills. There are bars, shops and restaurants and even a school. There is also good access to even more services in the valley below.
The house itself is beautifully restored on 3 floors. The front door opens to a lounge with exposed stone and beams and a bathroom. The original stone staircase leads from here to the second floor with kitchen and large reception area. The floors are restored chestnut beams and floor boards and look really great.
Upstairs again there is the main bedroom and an other large area leading to a sort of minstrels gallery level at the very top of the house. This area could make a second bedroom, and, at a push, the minstrels gallery area could make a third, or a great childrens room.
This house is in a very attractive medieval town which makes a great base for exploring the local area and further afield to Lucca, Florence and Siena. The house is beautifully restored and requires no extra work. At this price it is most definately worth viewing.
