Casa Nuova Country Houses - Restored in Lucca

Restored country house between Lucca and the Versilian coast.

This is one of those bargain homes that one finds very occasionally close to Lucca.  It consists of a fully restored house and barn.  The house restoration was completed in 2000 and so all the systems within the house are certified.

The house was originally built in the 1700's and has a stone stating the date of 1799.  However, it has been in the family since 1925.

The property is accessed by a tarmac, private road which leads up the hill to a position commanding a 360 degree view.

On the Eastern side there is a large terrace for breakfasts in the sun, followed by lunches and dinners in a more shady location as the day heats up.  The property is being sold furnished if desired.

There is an excellent brick and wood kitchen on the ground floor, a large lounge/dining room with fireplace.  The entire house has been restored in a traditional, rustic style with terracotta floors.  The ground floor currently has a bedroom and bathroom as it was used for holiday rentals, the owners have suspended all bookings to be able to sell the property with vacant possession.

There is a car port for three cars but it is currently used for storing wood for the wood fired central heating.

Attached to the house is a restored bread oven for pizza or bread.
