Restored Village house in popular village on the edge of the Garfagnana
This property is located in a popular village about 40km in total from Lucca. The village is quite large and thriving and has all services including at least 3 restaurants, bars, shops, post offic etc.
The village is also easy to get to and, while in beautiful mountainous countryside, is at the bottom of the valley, by the river, and hence very easy to get to with no steep winding mountain roads.
The house is in good habitale condition although would benefit from some light modernisation and redecoration. It is centra lin the village and surrounded by medieval houses and includea a cellar for storage. You enter into the kitchen which has an old fireplace and stairs up to a bedroom with bathrom on the first floor and another bedroom on the floor above that.
There is a shared courtyard to the front of the house that has access to 3 other surrounding properties. While this is not private outside space it does have an area that naturally belongs to this house and which would be ideal for dining 'al fresco.
In summary, this is an interesting house, in good condition with relatively good access but, best of all, surrounded by shops, bars and restaurants in a lively village which is something of a destination.
