Attractively Positioned House in the Brancoli's with Sea views and View of Lucca
One enters from a sunterrace in front of the house into a hallway, with a dining room and kitchen. The dispenser beyond has plumbing already.
There are marble stairs, which were all the rage at the time of the restoration, leading up to the first floor where are the five rooms and a bathroom. At the moment, only three are used as bedrooms. At the front of this corridor is a wonderful terrace where one can see all the twinkly lights of Lucca as well as some amazing sunsets. One room is a TV room and the other has plumbing for a second kitchen and a back door out to the raised, garden.
Within the raised garden, there is a chestnut drying shed and then access to two more, attic rooms above the house that would make a fantastic studio.
The house is comfortable, the electrics are good with the kind of channelling that is still fitted now. The heating is from a wood burning central heating system that could easily be converted to pellets. The roof is of good construction with both insulation and bitimen paper.
Added to all of this, the house has some history in that it was built originally in 1850 by the great grandfather of the owner so there may be tears at the contract.
Piazza di Brancoli is a village inhabited all year round and has a shop and bar. There is a festival once a year on August 15th and 16th. It is only ten minutes drive from a supermarket that makes amazing, fresh sausages and a further 5 minutes on is a commercial centre. Great location amongst olive groves and fruit trees.
