Important 15th Century 'Palazzo' divided into 3 Discrete Apartments each having private Terraces or which can be Joined
The village dates back to the Lombards who established the village on the rocky outcrops in the stunning, Apuane Alps which is now a major tourist area for those seeking fun and adventure, fresh air and a feeling of peace.
The village has an elaborate history with the Lucchesi having it in their possession until 1430 when it passed over to the Este family.
This 'palazzo' greets you as you enter the village and has been completely restored insideto make three, very comfortable apartments.
The first is currently lived in and has two cantinas underneath, one as a utility room and laundry room with downstairs cloakroom. Upstairs, there is the living area which is open plan with an efficient fireplace. The stone stairs lead to the two bedrooms and modern bathroom. This apartment connects via an internal door to the second apartment.
The second apartment is restored but was lived in by an older generation so some redistribution of the rooms may be considered. Currently, this apartment only has one bedroom but there are three rooms that are living rooms, there are 2 storage rooms. The kitchen has the most fantastic view of the Appenines but is currently divided from the dining room as this was more fashionable in the 1990's.
The second apartment has its own entrance and terrazza to make it completely independant if desired.
The third apartment is the 'tecno apartment' with solar panels and an entire heating system based on solar energy. The installation is in the massive cellar underneath the apartment. This apartment is currently empty but has a new kitchen, a dining area connected with an arch, 2 bedrooms, a washing machine room and a luxury bathroom with Jacuzzi shower.
In front of each apartment is a private terrace, underneath this is a walled garden which is currently shared with the elderly neighbour.
