Detached barn converted in 2004 with lot of character and private walled garden
This detached stone house is a barn convertion, done by the owner in 2004.
She has kept the stone walls, the terracotto floors and the wooden ceilings.
The access is from a shared path in common with Casa Lastrico, also for sale, and a third property lived in all year around.
Once you arrive to the house you enter in the entrance, on the right you have the storage/laundry room and in front of you the kitchen dining; this room has a wood burner stove. On the same level you also find the shower room; Up the wooden stairs you will find a big openspace used as master bedroom and living room and a small bedroom that has been made in the attic.
From the openspace you have the access to the walled garden and to the rest of the land that is located on a higher level and it is border by the Roman walls of the village.
Colognora is famous for the Museo del Castagno and also as the set of the Spike Lee's film Miracolo di Sant'Anna.
The electric system is working and the house has a private imhoff tank for the sewage. The cooker is bottle gas.
This house could also be part of a complex if bought together with Casa Lastrico
The nearest restaurant is in the previous village and Lucca is 25 km away.
The views from the house are spectacular, you can see all the way to Livorno in a clear day.
