The controneria is a fantastic part of Bagni di Lucca, warm in the the Winter and fresh in the Summer. There is a central village, reach on foot with Santina's bar/trattoria as well the butchers and grocery store.
The house has full car access although the road passes through the village hence a small car is needed. The owner has an Alfo Romeo Mito.
There is a gravel road down to the house going down through the terraced olive grove. At the moment, there is still a little rubbish left around the house from the very recent restoration but the land could be beautifully manicured and have a stunning pool.
The house is divided into the two apartments, the upper portion can be moved into with a fitted kitchen, 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower. This portion has central heating provided by the back boiler from the fireplace so it is very economical.
The windows are certified as energy saving and can operate in 'tilt' as well as normal opening.
The lower floor has been restored to builders' finish with the stone walls on show, a second bathroom and currently, this is open space. This could either be made into a workshop or a second, guest apartment.
The land is terraced with fruit trees and olives, a few trees need to be removed to get the full view across the Lima valley to the dotted, Medieval villages on the other side.
