Pretty little cottage in village not far from Bagni di Lucca with gorgeous views of Il Prato Fiorito
This cute little stone house, which is a converted barn, has been recently restored with the help from an architect. The current owners are artists and they have put all their love into the renovation. The modern furnishing within a rustic context really stands out. One walks into an open space kitchen and living room with a fire place. A door takes in to a small store room, and further on to the bathroom. The heating from the fire passes up into the bedroom, warming the upstairs in the winter. A wooden staircase takes up to the first floor where the one bedroom has a very tasteful opening up to a terrace. Another bedroom can be built on the ground floor. The living area is currently 40 sqm, but finishing the second bedroom it will be around 60 sqm. All the permissions to finish it, are ready.
The owners have also studied another floorplan where their geometra which is currently allowed by the town planning authorities. This would involve an extension to make the property 130 mq. This way of extending could have you remaining as resident while the rest of the house was being extended.
If one wants an easy home to walk right into in the middle of the beautiful Tuscan nature, this is it! It’s a place where one can relax and there’s not too much work with the garden or such things. There’s also place for a pool on the ground above the house, although the pool will probably need a containing wall though.
There is a small piece of land is currently rented by the owners for 50 € a year where they keep their wood for the winter. This can follow the new owners.
The village distances 5 kilometers from Bagni di Lucca, but there has been a new project to connect the villages below and above the house. This path is not near the house but makes a fantastic short-cut to the now, famous Topo Gigio bar. The Topo Gigio is a great place for lunch where all the locals mingle with the tourists who come for the white water rafting and the World Famous Canyon Park www.canyonpark.it
The house is sold furnished.
