Beautifully Restored Village House Teeming with Character
As one walks in, the first room one sees just encapsulates the traditions of this area. The room has a stone faced wall and a long table where friends and family would meet for dinner with the fireplace burning or, nowadays, the pellet burner. Next door to this room is the eat-in kitchen with fireplace and characteristic stone sink. The stairs are also stone going up to the first floor. Here there are two bedrooms and a bathroom which was once one of the bedrooms and so is large. This floor has been completely re-inforced with RSJ's.
The stairs going up to the attic are well-profiled wood ones with access to the roof terrace half way up. Be warned, one does have to bend a bit low to get out of the door.
The attic, or mansarda is beautiful with stone finished walls, the owner put 4 cm of insulation into the roof. There is a shower room on this floor which has been built into the room.
The restoration was done in 2017 and, although, there is no central heating, the pellet burner is designed to have a pipe that reaches up to the roof and acts as heating for the other floors.
The village is characterised by a large central piazza with a shop and bar. In the summer, there are lots kids playing and older people enjoying a glass of wine.
