Three Storey Town House in Mediaval Village of The Serchio Valley between Barga and Bagni di Lucca WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE OF THE RAILWAY
This house is situated in a wellknown village in th municipality of Coreglia Antelminelli. known because of the castle built for the first time around the 10th century by the Romans and it was extended by a certain Castruccio Castracani in the 14th century, and thereby the name of the castle.
The house is on three floors called locally a "terratetto" (from floor to ceiling) which has been restored taking into consideration the original features, such as cotto tiles and chestnut beams.
It is located in the village within the walls of this ancient fortified town characterised by typical narrow streets.
The entrance is on the ground floor with a rustic kitchen and a sitting room with windows looking over the Serchio Valley.
Upstairs are two good sized bright bedrooms.
For someone who likes village lives this house is perfect though there are also festivals here in the summer.
All amenities are to be found within easy walking distance and, only a kilometre down the road is the station as well as other shops with a post office, hairdressers and a historical bar with great icecream.
