This property is in one of the best areas, just outside Lucca. The area benefits from pleasant sea breezes making the micro-climate particularly clement.
The property has complete car access with the last 40 m on a private gravel driveway up through the olive groves. At one time, this ‘tenuta’ produced both olive oil and wine. At the moment, some of the land has been rented to a local farmer to produce Lucchese Olive Oil which is excellent with a peppery taste.
There is a courtyard in front of the farmhouse which connects the house and the barn. The barn is absolutely amazing with some of the rooms being as large as 100 mq.
The farmhouse is full of charcter, its kitchen has an oven in the wall and a waist height fireplace. The sitting room at the back is spacious and spans the whole width of the house. There are cantinas and a second bathroom here. There is a back door which opens out onto a lovely space where aperitifs or dinner can be enjoyed whilst taking in the view of the Lucchesia.
The house could be divided into two sections as there are two entrances and the design would allow an easy division.
Many of the bedrooms are dual aspect making them very attractive rooms despite the rather heavy furniture that the current owners have in the house.
