ID-Casa Gallo
This house has full car access and sits on 6000 mq of vineyard which originally grew the Moscato grape variety. In actual fact, the owner still makes wine in the cantina and you can smell it.
On the ground floor, one walks into a hallway off which is a kitchen and storage room. Around the back, there was originally a carpentry workshop which connects with the main house.
The steps are 'Graniglia' and lead up to three bedrooms. Halfway up, is a mezzanine bathroom of sorts. The main bedrooms still have the 'mezzane' floor tiles. There is also a manner to connect to the hay barn behind the house.
When we visited, we entered the hay barn from the exterior into what used to be the stable. The owner remembers there being pigs and a cow in these rooms. There is a ladder going up to the real haybarn which is a stunning, large room.
The farmhouse has methane up to it but it is not attached yet.
The area is very close to Lucca making this a very attractive house to restore.
Within walking distance there are several grocery stores, a hardware store, two bars, a pizzeria, a theatre.
