Large, Panoramic Home with 4 terraces and within walking Distance of Local Amenities
This is the Municipal Town for the municipality which is considered the roof of the Province of Lucca and borders between Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna.
The entire municipality extends between the "il Parco Nazionale dell’Appennino Tosco-Emiliano" and the "Parco dell’Orecchiella which is famous for having bears (in reserves of course), it is a paradise of trekking and outdoor pursuits. There are also noteable religious monuments within hiking distance.
The house is within the historic centre of the village. The house is currently rented out and so the house is quite full of objects. Look beyond this and you see that this house, white washed would make a beautiful home.
The house is on three floors with three entrances. We entered on the ground floor where there is a large eat-in kitchen with a fireplace. There is a very large bedroom with two windows, The kitchen is delightful as it has door out to a little terrace for cool drinks or lunch. This terrace is on a bridge over the path into the village.
Down the stone stairs, there is a large taverna, there is a second kitchen, and two storage rooms. The taverna opens out the street.
The stairs from the ground floor to the first floor are marble and there is a small bathroom on a mezzanine floor.
The first floor has a landing, four bedrooms and a main bathroom. The main bedroom which leads out to a balcony has a ensuite bathroom up a couple of steps.
Up to the attic floor leads out to the roof terrace.
The village has just been attached to a new gas provider for the entire village. At the time of writing, the owner was waiting for the certificate of conformity for the gas provision.
Within walking distance there is a bank, 2 bars, a grocery store. The pace of life is slow here but the Garfagnana has a wonderful climate and a wonderful heart.
