Semi-Detached Home Divided into 2 Apartments with Land and Terraces. FANTASTIC VIEWS AND VILLAGE WITH SHOP AND BAR
It is the highest hamlet in the municipality of Bagni di Lucca, at 900 meters above sea level, and even has sea views from certain parts of the village on clear days. The village has 170 residents and they regularly dedicate events to the great poet near the statue of him, which has stood at the highest point of the village since 1908, offering breathtaking views.
This house is below that on the road leading up to the statue. One needs a very tiny car to access it by car and then needs to be able to turn round after dropping off the shopping. Our recommendation is to use up some calories carrying the shopping up. :)
The house is divided into two apartments. The lower one is dated but habitable with three entrances. It has one bedroom, one bathroom and a kitchen. The upper apartment is on two floors with a kitchen, two bathrooms and a sitting room. These rooms lead out to lateral terraces with stunning views across to Appenines on one side and the Apuane Alps on the other.
As well as the artistic side to this village, there is an outdoor activities angle as it is the gateway to the Orrido di Botri, the Canyon where the eagles nest.
The entire house has oil-fired central heating but it does not currently work. The electrics are old but functioning and the house is attached to the mains sewers.
In the Summer, the village is a hive of activities with tradtional Tuscan festivals as well as an American influence due to the number of inhabitants that went to New York to work. Then returning back to their roots.
In the winter, there is a large Christmas festival with great food and drink as well as music
